BREAK DOWN
~~Exhibits must be maintained until 6 pm on Sunday. No vehicles are permitted on
the grounds until 6:30, and only for artists whose tents and goods are packed—for
loading only. There are exceptions to this for artists who
are exhibiting furniture or large items that must be crated and loaded onto
their vehicles. If your work is put into boxes, pack it and break down your
tent before coming onto the field.
AT BREAKDOWN:
~ Go to the Sun Valley desk and pay 2% tax. Bring a check for this.
~ Pack all of your wares. (See above exceptions.)
~ Pack your tent.
~ Clean up your booth area.
~ Take your trash to the dumpsters, not THE garbage cans on site.
We are required to return the field to Sun Valley in mint condition. The morning
after the festivals, the Board walks the field with bags and picks up what you've left. Please
don't leave anything in your tent area— have a trash bag available and take your trash to the
dumpster. It costs us to have the trash cans on site emptied, and we don't want to increase
fees because of extra trash in them at breakdown.
And, the last step:
~ Drive your vehicle onto the field to pick up your things.
At breakdown, I pack up all my stuff and tent, clean the area (and this year will go to the Sun
Valley desk) and walk to a restaurant nearby for dinner. If you are a local, please consider
doing something similar, or going home for a couple of hours then coming back for your
things. This will give guest artists, many of whom have long drives, and artists will small
children a chance to get out earlier than they would if we all tried to leave at once.
